Changes coming for Xero customers

Posted on 01 July 2024 / Business

If you use Xero accounting software, please be aware that from 12 September 2024, Xero are updating their plans and prices. We’ll be getting in touch with all affected clients to explain what it means for you, but in the meantime, here are the main changes:

GST cashbooks will no longer be available, and all existing plans will need to switch to a business edition.

Business Edition plans are being streamlined into four new plans:

  • Ignite (essentially the current Starter plan): Send quotes, up to 20 invoices, 5 bills, Hubdoc, no cash coding.
  • Grow: Unlimited Invoicing and bills, cash coding, Hubdoc, claim expenses for 1 person (plus $5/month per additional user), payroll for 1 person only.
  • Comprehensive: Grow plan + Multi-Currency, payroll for up to 5 people, analytics plus, claim expenses for up to 5 people and cash coding.
  • Ultimate (enhanced): Unlimited invoices, bills, cash coding, Hubdoc, expenses for up to 10 people (plus $5/month per additional user), payroll for up to 10 people (plus $1 per additional employee), multi currencies and Xero Projects.

Xero add-ons will no longer be available – these will be included in the new plans. For those using Xero Payroll, this may result in a large increase in your monthly Xero fee.

Here is a copy of the pricing and plan updates, which Xero plans to implement in phases between September 2024 and March 2025. We will be in touch with you if you are likely to be impacted by these changes. Please contact our office if you have any queries.
